How Tomake A Sausage Stuffer

Natacha Atlas's voice traveling

I quote from the biography of his MySpace page: "Musically and geographically, Natacha Atlas has always been un'itinerante.

But believe me this is only partially comprehensive definition of the huge research work of exceptional talent and music that makes listening to a CD of this artist from having to experience.

The "triumph of multiculturalism" in his case is pure content: feel inside its sensual and hypnotic voice, having the ground inside the British culture and the Egyptian parental origin.

But then, everything is a wandering: listening to a cd as "Mounqaliba" I found myself in the East, and then thrown into a small jazz club in New York, then romantic walks under the great iron that is the Tour Eiffel.

Born in Belgium, Natacha grew up in a suburb of mainly Moroccan in Brussels, and soon learned to juggle in English, French, Arabic and English.

His life was a continuous movement and a cross-over places that have been successful, collaborations (see also Frank Sinatra in "wrought iron", to name just one), and awards as Best Singer at the Victoire de la Musique Awards (the French Grammy). Do not underestimate

then, the plant also present in his conceptual work: always "Mounqaliba, Arabic melodies, inspired by traditional Egyptian classics are interspersed with interludes and voices of intellectuals explaining how" men are molded by culture "(men are shaped by culture).

But that's what makes listening memorable: the idea of \u200b\u200ba new culture, mixed and precious, ancient and modern, that we lose nothing, but gains a known flavor.
Only by relearning.
